Fotoez

Okay, friends: I put up more pictures for your viewing pleasure (http://www.flickr.com/photos/katharynreed) I still do not posess the necessary, arcane intellectual skills to properly work Flickr, but they’re up there. Because I can’t figure out how to reorder them, here is some brief explanation.

The pictures with the painted buildings are at Swopa.

The past few days I was at Shauna’s house with Jake and we took pix. It was from her house that we ventured to Swopa, only about 20 minutes away on bike.

Jake lives in Zuarungu, just outside of Bolga. We like to go there because its nice and he has a blender. And we like Jake. Sometimes.

The pictures in Bolga, Tongo and on the road between the two were taken by Fataiya. She also make the matching dresses that we are wearing.

LOVED the pix! I never found the “out and about” to click but something I clicked on got me to some photos. G-pa and I saw painted houses in Nubia, the area in southern Egypt inhabited by black Egyptians. The painted designs were different than the ones in Ghana, very colorful. Fataiya IS beautiful — wow! And the matching dresses are GREAT! Gorgeous fabric. Is Fataiya a fellow teacher?? There’s some magic in the way people walk who can carry things on their heads — they seem to glide. Keep practicing!
